Good governance program

Human rights program has been promoting people’s awareness on the basic rights and obligations, foster public dialogue and understanding on how best to preserve and protect human rights including civic, economic, health and social rights.

GHFRD since its inception in 1996 has been implementing programs on human rights including social, economic and civic concern on women, child rights, and the youth in peace building in attempts to bring co-existence among ethnic / minority groups, park authorities and those communities living along the protected areas. Good Hope Foundation’s mission is to promote the understanding and respect of human rights, peaceful co-existence and reproductive health rights”. It has programs on GBV prevention, Civic competence, peace building and conflict management, reproductive health, prevention of pandemics

Currently, its major partners include Oxfam, HIVOs Netherlands and the European Union. Other partners are HURINET, UNASO, TASO, and Association of Human Rights Organizations (AHURIO). Its also a member of gender-based violence prevention network as well as malaria prevention consortium.
